Brisbane Convoy For Kids

David Gaudron had a 10 year old nephew with special needs, who badly wanted to ride in a big truck.
David wrote a letter to ‘Truckin Life’ asking for ideas and help to make his nephews dream become a reality
And the rest, as they say, is history. A committee was formed, and at a meeting, the very first Convoy for Kids was born, to raise money and awareness for Childrens Charities.
A Brisbane Committee was re initiated in 2009, and as a result, the Brisbane Convoy Kids returned with a bang in 2010.
The last ten years have seen over $500,000 being donated to benefit children within South East Queensland.
This year an expected 600 plus trucks along with 100 other vehicles and bikes, will travel the 65 kilometre distance from Forest Lake, along the Gateway Motorway to the Redcliffe Showgrounds.

We have been overwhelmed and could never have imagined how much the community would embrace the event the way that it has. Our goal is to continue to provide an amazing experience for the children who need their spirits lifted, with the proceeds being donated to Hummingbird House.
